Trained Educators

Montessori education is a significant effort for a Montessori teacher in self-development. It is not just a teaching method, but also a philosophy and a humanistic approach to education, which has been relevant for over 100 years.

Montessori teachers constantly work on developing their skills – observing their colleagues, participating in conferences, and sharing experiences with educators around the world.

Transparency

One of the main tools of a Montessori educator is observing the child. The educator observes and notices the child’s needs, offers the child new activities accordingly, prepares materials, or modifies the environment.

We maintain an online journal where parents can see daily photo reports of their child’s activities, learn about their interests, and how to support their child’s development at home.

Prepared Educational Environment

The environment of our kindergarten is created with love and care for children. We prefer to use natural materials, all furniture and tools are child-sized and designed to be used independently.

We have filled the classroom with high-quality Montessori materials, and our educators are constantly working on creating new aids for reading, writing, and exploring the world.

Individual Approach

Each child is an individual, with their own character, traits, and development plan. Each child is unique and irreplaceable for us. Therefore, we do not have a common curriculum or frontal classes.

The educator plans each child’s activities separately, guiding them according to their needs and interests.

Mixed-Age Group

In the Montessori class, there are children from 3 to 6 years old. This helps each child to experience different role models – from the youngest in the group who needs help and care to the oldest child who feels confident, is well-oriented, and helps others.

There is no competition in our classes, we teach children cooperation and collaboration.

Family Support

Raising a child is a complex process influenced by all the adults around them. We focus on close cooperation with the entire family – we conduct individual consultations, organize seminars and meetings, and hold family events.

It is very important to learn together, create common values, understand, and trust each other.

Multilingualism

In our multicultural city, it is very important for a child to be able to communicate in different languages from an early age. That is why we create opportunities to hear and speak Russian, Estonian, and English. We don't have special language lessons - getting acquainted with the language should be easy and natural - it's games, poems, and songs.

Our environment is designed in such a way that the child can decide for themselves in which language they will start reading or counting.

Our Goal

We welcome families who understand that a child's development is a natural process that requires support and assistance from the adults around them. For us, it is important that the adult members of the family understand that we follow the child, based on their needs, explore their interests, and expand possibilities. We believe that in such an atmosphere, children find it easier to acquire complex skills, and perceiving mistakes as experiences gives them the opportunity to improve themselves.

Our goal is not just to teach a child to read and count, but to develop their ability to make their own choices, concentrate on activities, take responsibility, and follow rules.

We are not preparing children for school, we are preparing them for life" - said Maria Montessori.

Program

Two experienced teachers work in our class, one with an AMI diploma and more than 4 years of experience, the other with more than 30 years of experience working with children, the last 5 years as a Montessori teacher.

We speak to the children in Russian and Estonian, creating a friendly bilingual environment in the class, where children communicate with each other regardless of the language they speak. Additionally, our teachers speak English.
